Ode to the Willow
By He Zhizhang
The tall trees are all decked out in jade greens.
Ten thousand twigs weep like green silk ribbons.
Can't you tell who's cut out the slender leaves?
The early spring wind is sharp, like scissors.

Random Lines on Returning Home
By He Zhizhang
When very young I left home;now old I return,
My accent's unchanged,but thinner my hair's become.
The children,whom I meet,do not know who I am.
With beaming faces, they ask me from where I come.
